Woman hit in crosswalk

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Shoppers Row at about 11:10 a.m. on Mon. Nov. 14. After investigation, police learned that a 19-year-old woman had been struck by a green Ford Tempo while she was in the cross walk. She received minor injuries. The 55-year-old male driver stopped briefly and had then left the scene. A short time later, he was located and was charged with driving without due care and attention and fail to remain at the scene.
