Discover Campbell River Day this Saturday 


The Campbell River Spirit Square is the place to be this Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Visitor Centre’’s Inaugural Discover Campbell River Day.

The day’s family friendly events include a Bouncerama for kids; Magic Faces face painting from 1-4 p.m., live broadcasting from 99.7 the River Radio, draws and tours of the Visitor Centre. The Homalco Band is serving delicious barbeque from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Local businesses will have booths set up promoting their products and services. A variety of information from arts, culture and  heritage, accommodation, adventure tourism, charities, health & fitness, local foods, parks, retail and wildlife adventures will be ready to share how they can assist Campbell River residents and visitors alike.

In addition, the Visitor Centre will be announcing the winner of their second annual city-wide scavenger hunt, a challenge that highlights the many exciting activities that are available within our beautiful community.

As an added bonus to Discover Campbell River Day, the Pier Street Association is hosting a Campbell River Market Day Sunfest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Follow the sunflowers along Pier Street, Shoppers Row and 11th Avenue.
