Exciting things are happening at the Community Centre as the plans for the Vancouver Island Fibre Fest are well under way.

Registration is ongoing for the many workshops and the Marketplace is filling up with amazing vendors.

Seven fabulous instructors are coming from Campbell River, Quadra Island, Cowichan Valley, Duncan, Salt Spring Island and Langley to teach and share their expertise at this year’s Fibre Fest.

Diana Twiss will be teaching workshops on Spinning; Sharron Hatelt-Spindling; Leola Witt-McNie-Weaving; Shannon Buck-Knitting: Ulrieke Benner-Felting; Nancy Wesley-Needle Felting and Gladys Love-Quilting. There are so many to choose from you will want to take a couple.

Come browse and shop at the Marketplace the choices of yarn, fibres and beautiful clothing and décor. Vendors already registered are: The Needle &Arts Centre, Ancient Futures, riv.creative, Forget Me Knot, Marilisse’s Hand Dyed, Lavender Lampworks, Margaret Grimble, Hooked in the Maples, Rainbow Fibres, DK Knitwear/DK Dylee Knits, Grinsheep Fibre Productions, Nan.c.Designs, Soul Comfort Sheepskin and Big Blue Momma. You might just find yourself a new creative passion.
