King and queen of Elders Gathering inspect Campbell River Sea Cadets

Honour given to First Nations couple who will preside over gathering in Campbell River this summer

Ollie and Edwina Henderson, the king and queen of the Elders Gathering coming to Campbell River in July, inspected the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corp 54 Admiral DeWolf as visiting officials on Thursday evening.

The Elders Gathering is happening in at Strathcona Gardens, Campbell River, on July 11-13. Elders from across B.C. will be attending the conference. The public is invited to attend the trade show, which will also be taking place at Strathcona Gardens. The entrance fee will be a donation to the foodbank.

The National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, Perry Bellegarde, will be attending the event.
