John Caswell accepted on behalf of the North Island Supportive Recovery Society a cheque for $250 from the Fire Department as well as a cheque from TTM Construction to go toward the construction of a new deck at Second Chance Recovery House.
Jody McIlmoyl and his team at TTM Construction will be dismantling the current deck and building the new one with supplies donated by Home Hardware. The money he is raising will cover the cost of the vinyl decking and the aluminum railing. McIlmoyl estimates it will cost $5-6,000 to complete the project. He and his team are donating the labour.
