Hermosa Lingerie has found a way to give back to the entire community… including the four legged members.

Wendy Parker, owner of Hermosa Lingerie, had the idea for Bras for a Cause when she learned that bras and underwear are the most under-donated item to women in shelters internationally.

“I was inspired by one of the lines we carry, MADI Intimates, who for each pair of underwear sold, send us a pair to donate to a local woman in need,” says Parker.

Last year, Hermosa Lingerie donated 45 pairs of MADI underwear to local women through the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society and is looking for your help to expand this year’s donation with bras, robes and PJs.

“We are accepting bras in any condition, those that can’t be donated will be recycled appropriately in the spirit of Earth Month. So far, we’ve collected 100 bras and various sleepwear… the community’s support has been incredible.”

This Saturday, April 22, Hermosa Lingerie will be hosting a BBQ by donation with proceeds to the Campbell River SPCA. Wendy is an animal lover and wants to help raise awareness for the local branch.

“The work the SPCA does within our community deserves to be recognized, and they rely on donations to make that happen”, notes Wendy. Hermosa will also accept any cash donations for the SPCA in store during April.

You can learn more about “Bras for a Cause” on Hermosa Lingerie’s Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/hermosabras) and donate your bras and sleepwear in store until April 30.
