What are you going to do with your dried up Christmas tree? Well, on Jan. 5, kill two birds with one stone. Come and find out about the activities and facilities at the vibrant community centre and chip your tree at the “Recycle to Cycle” event.
From 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., the Black Creek Community Association (BCCA) is offering a chance to learn about its fitness centre access system and “Bring a Friend” promotion, and look at their equipment. The Open House will be a free, fun and social opportunity to try the fitness centre out, participate in some of our classes, and get you off to a good start to meet your 2013 fitness goals. The fitness room is open to everyone for a free workout and each person attending the Open House will be entered into a draw for prizes. In addition, the BCCA will also be providing free snacks and refreshments throughout the day. In the main hall, there is a selection of classes to try out with its top notch instructors. Each session is free and participants are welcome to try one or try them all. These classes are all being offered weekly, starting the week of Jan. 7 for their winter session, so this is a great opportunity to get a taste of what is to come.
