A bevy of talented artists will show off the bounty of the islands at Quadra’s annual Christmas Craft Fair.

Why spend your hard-earned money on mass-produced presents when you could search out unique, locally-made gifts?

On Friday and Saturday, Quadra’s Community Centre will be bursting with a bumper crop of presents from perennial favourites and brand new exhibitors. Come both days as some exhibits change. Delicious food from Mrs. Claus’s kitchen concession will sustain your browsing for as long as it takes to find something beautiful. The North Pole has confirmed that Santa will arrive at noon Saturday, with land transportation courtesy of the Quadra Fire Department, to visit with children and pose for photos. You’ll find a cornucopia of creative gifts, including: baking, baby clothes, baby toys, beads, candles, candy, cards, carvings,  CDs, chocolates, cosmetics, crochet, duct tape wallets, felting, fruit butters, gift wrapping, jewelry, knitting, lavender, masks, mosaics, poetry, photo art, portraits, pottery, preserves, sea salt, sewing, silver, soap, spices,  tie-dye, weaving, wood, and woolens.
