The Centennial outdoor pool at 4th Avenue and Alder Street is open for the 2011 season.

The pool is heated and has a slide, dive tank, lane swimming and a wading pool.

During the month of June, the pool has a limited schedule with a public swim every weekday from 3 to 4:40 p.m. On the weekends there is length swimming and a family swim from noon to 1:30 p.m. followed by a public swim from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The pool is also available for rentals, and it is the home of the Salmon Kings summer swim club.

On June 30 the full schedule will commence.

Swimming lessons start the week of July 4. There are three sessions available, offering all classes from Ducks to level 10. There will be two sessions of the Junior Waterfront camp for seven to nine-year-olds.

New this year, two French immersion swim camps will be offered: Les Cadets de L’eau for five to six-year-olds and Les Jeunes au Bord de L’eau for seven to nine-year-olds.
