Local business one of the best in B.C.

A Campbell River business has been voted one of the top ten best small businesses by people from across B.C.

Thank You Products, a philanthropic, grass-roots social enterprise, was voted by the public over a two month period to be one of the finalists for the Best Concept Award, sponsored by MNP, as part of the Successful You Awards which recognize the top small businesses in the province.

The award recognizes outstanding contributions made by B.C. entrepreneurs.

As a semi-finalist, Thank You Products will be tasked with completing an extended award application which will be used to narrow down the competition to the top five finalists in its category.

The company posted a message of gratitude to its supporters on its website Tuesday.

“Thanks to your votes, we made it to the semi-finals. A big thank-you to everyone, for all your support.”

Thank You Products sells natural and organic products such as tea and coffee, spring and mineral waters, body care products, gift packages and other items which all come from Canadian suppliers.

The company, which was established this year, donates every cent after expenses to five different children’s charities: the Help Fill a Dream Foundation in Victoria, the BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, the Nicaragua Children’s Foundation based in Vancouver, the Mary A. Tidlund Foundation based out of Alberta and the Vitamin Angels, which operates worldwide.

Thank You Products will find out whether it is a winner of the Best Concept Award on Jan. 30 when the top five finalists are announced.
